Wine Baskets

White, red, dessert or sparkling wines, port, mead, ros? or champagne?man?s courtship with this intensely sensory yet cerebral indulgence has stood the long test of time. A symbol of refinement and culture, wine was initially an upper-class predilection until its liquid charms enticed the masses.

A mystical joy uplifts the true oenophile as he sips that rare wine. It refuses to stay quiet. It solicits company. The color, aroma, texture, layer and allure of wine must be analyzed and debated for a total experience. Initiating a greenhorn to its ethereal pleasures is a wine enthusiast?s dream task. Inviting connoisseurs over for an evening of wine can be as sacred a ritual as royal rites of passage.

Modern winemaking techniques have drastically altered wine prices and made it a much more affordable beverage. Choices for wine baskets can be decided by budget, personal preferences or the temperament of the person to whom you are giving it to, or what food you would like the wine to be paired with. Specialty wine boutiques and select liquor stores offer enough guidance and popular combinations for an ideal handpicked wine hamper.

Wines are produced in France, Italy, USA (primarily California, Washington State and Oregon), South America (Argentina, Chile) and regions of Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Israel, New Zealand, Portugal and South Africa. Oxygen can rapidly remove fragrances, flavor and character from wine. Commercial wine usually has a two-year shelf life and must be consumed quickly once opened. Longevity-wise, dry white wines wither quickly, red wines pall in two days and port, Bordeaux or other fortified or sweet wines tend to last more than a week after opening.

Most wineries, retailers or distributors will take a case order and ensure delivery. Orders can be placed online too, especially if you have a wine club membership (usually available at no extra cost). Payment is by credit card. An order is usually dispatched discreetly to offices, because an adult must sign the delivery receipt.

Wine complements food like no other drink. Travel and entertainment has widened awareness of global wine trends. However, many states/countries have regulations on import of foreign wines. Know the hidden costs for tax, packaging and delivery before getting extravagant with that purple passion!

Winemaking is an art that takes the best of creativity and experimentation. A product of the land, wine intimately connects man to nature. The variety of grapes, soil, region, climate, temperature, blending options and storage containers can radically alter wine engineering. Delicate, crisp, refreshing, full-bodied, fruity, oaky or zesty, only wine simultaneously rejuvenates body, mind and soul.

Wine Baskets provides detailed information on wine baskets, wine gift baskets, wine picnic baskets, wine and cheese baskets and more. Wine Baskets is affliated with Bakery Management.

New Restaurant, New Camera, New Lens - All Excellent!

I had to work at home today so that I could be here to deal with a few building issues. That's the bad news. The good news is that I finally had the chance to eat lunch at Mono - the highly-anticipated new restaurant in our building. I am thrilled to report that everything about lunch was excellent. The shots above show proud chef Todd Wilson and his classy interpretation of a grilled cheese sandwich. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of my chicken sandwich before tearing into

Our SXSW 2008 Diary – Part 1 (live review / feature)

Something very strange happened in my life on March 11, 2008. It was like I was standing at the edge of a cliff overlooking the best music festival ever, with no expectations. I had never been to SXSW before and the most gigging I ever did was in June last year when I was literally at a gig every other night, but even that couldn’t prepare me for the madness that would turn out to be SXSW 2008. Technically, I saw 25 sets but in reality, I saw a few bands more than once. I was like a kid in a ca

Learn about Custom Wine Racks

Custom Wine Racks

With custom wine racks, you can purchase the perfect rack for your unique situation. You no longer are stuck with limited choices. The choices are limitless when it comes to custom wineracks. Everyone remembers the day when selection was limited to stock on hand. In today's world with so many companies fighting for your hard-earned dollar the power has shifted from seller to consumer. You state what your ideal wine rack size, style, and material, and you purchase your own custom wine rack.

A custom winerack is a simple or complex as you are. Many wine racks can be used as an individual unit or stacked to form a matrix unit. You decide. This freedom will allow you to be more creative. Instead of limiting yourself to having a closet wine collection, you can choose to build a partial wall mounted wine rack right into your kitchen. Or how about those bottles of wine you have been keeping in boxes in the pantry; why not buy a custom wine rack that fits in the corner where the dust bunnies are living.

As with most other kinds of wine racks, custom wine racks come with complete, detailed, easy to understand instructions, and can be assembled in a short period of time. You do not have to be an architectural engineer to order a custom wine rack either. Just measure the desired location and browse the selection of custom wine racks. If you do not see a wine rack you like or if you are having trouble, company representatives at various merchants will gladly make some suggestions.
